February is the month for love. Self-love.

It’s not often we get an entire month to celebrate love. So let’s take this time to do just that. I’m not just talking about romantic love.

It's not often we get an entire month to celebrate love. So let's take this time to do just that. I'm not just talking about romantic love - although that is also a really good thing too. I'm talking about self-love.

When I have this discussion with people many people already understand the concept of self-love or they can easily get there. But there are also many people that upon hearing that - self-love - react strongly in an adverse way. For them, this love of self means vanity, arrogance, conceit. But it isn't about that. Not at all.

It's about kindness to self; friendship with self and accepting self. These are all wonderful healthy ways of being. The opposite of self-love is self-hate. I can assure you, that isn't the way to go.

Focus on love as much as possible, in every part of your life and with everyone in your life. Especially yourself.
